These two pieces are undoubtedly examples of the greatest, most dramatic, rarest and most desired Disney animation cels there are. Fantasia of course, is the 1940 animated film produced by Walt Disney and released by Walt Disney Productions. With story direction by Joe Grant and Dick Huemer, and production supervision by Ben Sharpsteen, it was the third feature in the Disney animated features canon, and stands out from every other Disney film by its fantastic concept and originality. The film consists of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski; seven of which are performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Music critic and composer Deems Taylor acts as the film's Master of Ceremonies, who introduces each segment in live action interstitial scenes. These Courvoisier production animation cels of Mickey beginning to animate the broom are both large, iconic and one of the most sought after animation cel images of all. Two similar pieces like these from the same sequence and only seconds apart are rarely seen. Take your choice.
